This Holistic psychiatric session update has been developed for GPs and other Healthcare professionals in order to expand the understanding in pharmacology and management strategies for patients presenting with signs and symptoms of psychiatric disorders in the primary care setting.
Four Measuring Outcomes activities of half an hour each will be emailed to you once you have registered to this event. These activities will be in direct line with the four topics presented on the day. The four Measuring Outcome activities will be worth a total of 2 hours of CPD RACGP educations.

9.00 am – Drugs, Alcohol and Addictive Disorders: how are they best managed presented by Prof John B. Saunders
10.30 am – Reviewing Performance Activity: Case base discussion post presentation on how to manage Drug and Alcohol presentation in primary settings by Prof John B. Saunders
11.00 am – Morning tea
11.30 am – Depression in Parkinson’s disease presented by Dr Namrata Shetty
12.30 pm – Reviewing Performance Activity with group discussion on how to best manage PD patients with depression by Dr Namrata Shetty
13.00 pm – Lunch
14.00 pm – Contemporary treatments for people with eating disorders presented by Prof Phillipa Hay
15.00 pm – Reviewing Performance Activity: peer group learning on identifications and on screening of at risk eating disorders patients and the role of admission and shared care treatment presented by Prof Phillipa Hay
15.00 pm – Afternoon tea
15.30 pm – Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in Adults ‘A Shared-care and holistic approach for General Practitioners’ presented by Dr Ty Joshua Drake
16.30 pm – Reviewing Performance Activity: Case discussion on how to best manage PTSD in a holistic fashion by Dr Ty Joshua Drake
