With a longstanding history of almost 100 years in providing superior private healthcare across New Zealand and Australia, Acurity Health Group has formerly changed its trading name to Evolution Healthcare, aligning itself to the ownership of Evolution Healthcare Australia.
Evolution Healthcare’s Chief Executive Officer Sue Channon describes the rebrand of Evolution Healthcare as an exciting undertaking in her first seven months at the helm.
“Presenting our Group under a unified name with a contemporary and bold new look captures the strength of who we are and our future purpose as leaders in private healthcare across New Zealand and Australia. Whilst our hospital names will remain the same, Wakefield and Bowen Hospitals in Wellington, Royston Hospital in Hawkes Bay, and Waratah Private Hospital in Sydney, we are in the process of refreshing their look to meet that of our Evolution Healthcare brand. We aim to provide a consistent look and feel across our hospitals and businesses, providing a strong continuity for our current and future developments,” she said.
Since December 2015, Acurity Health Group Limited has been under the ownership of Evolution Healthcare, a privately owned Australian and New Zealand private healthcare operator. Under Evolution Healthcare leadership the business has expanded beyond surgical services with a focus in cancer care, rehabilitation, mental health, and maternity services. Evolution Healthcare is investing in significant developments with a complete rebuild of Wakefield Hospital in Wellington, Orthopaedic Day Surgery at Royston’s Campus in Hawke’s Bay, and a behavioural health unit at Waratah Private Hospital in Sydney.
