Dr Justin Travers studied Medicine at the University of Otago. He completed specialist respiratory training at Wellington Hospital and at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. He then undertook a research fellowship at Queen’s University, Canada. He recently received a research doctorate from the Medical Research Institute of New Zealand.
Dr Justin Travers is a Respiratory Physician with expertise in general respiratory medicine, chronic cough, COPD, bronchoscopy and lung function testing. He is based at the Wakefield Heart Centre. He is an active researcher and has published journal articles on several topics in the field of respiratory medicine. He is the Clinical Head of Department of Respiratory Medicine at Hutt Hospital, a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Otago Wellington School of Medicine and a Clinical Advisor for Pharmac.
