Mark has a special interest in the treatment of adult spinal conditions including spinal injuries, age-related degeneration, spinal deformity and tumours and scoliosis and complex spinal conditions in children.
Mr Sherwood is a graduate of Otago University and completed his advanced training in spinal surgery in New Zealand and Australia.
Mr Sherwood is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon treating general orthopaedic conditions and also does hip and knee joint replacement surgery. Mark performs these surgeries at Wakefield Hospital and also works at Wellington Regional Hospital as a consultant orthopaedic and spinal surgeon.
Mark is passionate about international charitable mission surgery and has ongoing involvement in Ghana, Africa and the Pacific Islands.
