Our Evolution Graduate RN Programme (formerly known as Nurse Entry to Practice/NETP Programme) supports and encourages graduate registered nurses to achieve their professional goals and contribute to the future of healthcare.
The goal of Evolution Healthcare’s Graduate RN Programme is that graduate nurses will commence their careers well supported, safe, skilled and confident in their practice. Our Graduate RN Programme provides graduate registered nurses with a supportive, structured transition into practice.

This milestone marks an exciting step in our commitment to growing, supporting and investing in the next generation of nurses across Evolution Healthcare.
Our inaugural graduate nurses have joined us across a range of clinical settings, bringing energy, compassion and a strong commitment to patient-centred care.
Through structured learning, hands-on experience and dedicated support, the programme is designed to help graduates build confidence, capability and a strong foundation for their nursing careers.

When filling out your ACE application, you will have the opportunity to select your preferred employers. Among the options in the dropdown menu, you’ll find Evolution Healthcare’s hospitals listed, along with other participating employers.

Practice Settings at Evolution Healthcare
Evolution Healthcare provides positions in perioperative (theatre), ICU (Wakefield only) and surgical practice settings. These options can be selected in the preferences section of your ACE application. If you are interested in working with Evolution Healthcare, be sure to choose either perioperative, Intensive Care (Wakefield only) and/or surgical options according to your interests.
If you are applying for a position in Wellington, please be prepared to work at either hospital within the region.
Currently, Evolution Healthcare only offers the Graduate RN Programme. If you are interested in NESP or ENSIP positions, you will need to explore opportunities with Health NZ districts that have these positions available in the current intake.
Interview
If you are invited for an interview after choosing Evolution Healthcare as your employer preference, you can discuss your location preferences with the interview panel. If you have a strong preference for one hospital over the other, make sure to mention this in your cover letter.
