About Dr April Wong

Dr April Wong is a specialist Breast, Melanoma & General surgeon of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, who undertook two years of Breast & Oncoplastic training with acclaimed mentors from Australia, New Zealand and UK, through the BreastSurgANZ post fellowship program and a fellowship year in Melanoma at the world-renowned Melanoma Institute Australia, Sydney.

Dr Wong is a respected member in the research community having secured numerous prestigious grants for her research projects and is well published in her field. She was awarded the John Collins Medal & Travel grant by the ANZ Breast Cancer Trials Group and has been a speaker at multiple international and local meetings.

Dr Wong is trained in all aspect of benign & malignant breast disease, including oncoplastic techniques such as breast reconstruction. She also provides diagnostic and surgical services relating to melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer, and in general surgery.

As a member of Breast Cancer Network Australia, BreastSurgANZ, ANZ Breast Cancer Trials Group and Sydney Vital Translational Cancer Research centre, at the Kolling Institute of Medical Research, Dr Wong is at the forefront of leading surgical and medical procedures using advanced technology.

Dr Wong has a VMO appointment at Sydney Breast Clinic, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, St Luke’s Private Hospital, Prince of Wales Private Hospital and Waratah Private Hospital. She is bilingual and speaks English and Mandarin.
