Held over Friday 19 and Saturday 20 March, Evolution delivered the first in-person GP conference since Covid.
Held at Te Papa Museum in Wellington, Evolution’s Connect is the leading lower North Island conference delivering a superior programme for GPs and primary care practitioners. This year saw over 200 delegates register to join the conference from across the North and South Islands.
This year’s conference focused on Health Through the Ages. From Older Adults right through to Paediatrics, various topics were presented by some of the best presenters, world-leading researchers, highly-skilled specialists, and expert healthcare professionals, all to help practitioners stay up-to-date in their primary care practice.
“It was awesome! Probably the best GP conference I have attended in NZ in the last 7 years.”
– Connect 2021 Delegate
“We have received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback for this year’s conference, including many topics and speakers’ delegates would like to have at Connect 2022,” says Sue Channon, Chief Executive Officer.
Keynote speakers presented on critical health topics such as family violence and the GPs role, self-care for GPs who have experienced some of the most challenging conditions from Covid, and caring for our LGBTQIA+ community.
Many sponsors and exhibitors joined us at our conference as for many it was the first opportunity to reconnect in-person with GPs since 2019.
“Our conference has grown year-on-year with more delegates traveling from all across New Zealand, it demonstrates our programme and focus for GP education is exactly what they are looking for,” says Sue Channon.
Connect 2022 planning is already underway with dates confirmed for Friday 6 and Saturday 7 May at Te Papa Museum, Wellington.
