About Dr Lynda Croft

Dr Croft is an experienced obstetrician & gynaecologist with a private practice in Hastings. She has had 15 years of experience in the Hawke’s Bay in the public sector and will continue to provide this service.  Prior to this she worked in the UK in central London, and also in Plymouth.

Since she has been in the Hawke’s Bay she has been a local coordinator for the PMMRC since its inception, and also teaches on the highly respected MOET (managing obstetric emergencies and trauma course).  She is also on the national guidelines group for the new cervical screening programme.

Up until 2019 she was the Head of Department for the Obstetric and Gynaecology Department for approximately 5 years.  During this time the department has increased substantially and the new primary birthing suite was built.

Since handing over the role of HOD she now has more time to provide a private clinical service and to spend more time with her family.

She enjoys walking Te Mata Peak, paddleboarding and the fine wines and food of the Hawke’s Bay.
